Do you know someone who loves a nice craft beer?
I’m not entirely sure who does all the research (incidentally, can I volunteer?), but the authors of The Pocket Beer Book (3rd edition) Stephen Beaumont and Tim Webb certainly take their roles seriously enough as this fascinating reference book lists over 2000 of the finest beers from around the world.
From Abbey de Saint Bon-Chien, a 11% ‘tart, dark-red, fruity, oak aged Swiss brew by Des Franches Montagnes, to Zonker Stout, a foreign style stout from Jackson, Wyoming USA with a ‘rich mocha-tinged malt’, all the top names in craft beer along with beers from new and up-and-coming breweries all all listed and have detailed tasting notes.
On the train, on the plane, it’s a really fascinating read and the perfect Christmas present for any fan of craft beers.
