Listen: Owlle- Fog

When something makes its home around the top of the HypeM chart that’s usually a sure sign of musical quality and a subtle invitation to ‘Watch This Space.’

Step forward Owlle. Taken from her forth-coming debut album FRANCE, Fog is an electro-pop belter.

The genre might be everywhere right now, but when it is producing results like this it’s not a problem.

This is a supremely glossy-number held together by equal parts wonderment and a longing sadness.

There are definite traces of Lykke Li on offer here with the odd splashing of Grimes and even prime-era Madonna but this is unmistakably Owlle’s own sound and it’s one worth taking note of.

I try to write knowledgeable things about music. Everything else I get quite annoyed about. Arsenal fan. Terrible swimmer.
