The truth is you CAN have too much of a good thing. When Entourage the TV series first popped onto the small screen back in 2004 it was a quirky, fresh comedy/drama with a great cast that gently poked fun at Hollywood and the crazy film industry people that live there. However, well before the end of its season 8 finale the series had ran out of ideas and lacked any real character development or forward direction to sustain my interest.
Now I think sufficient time has passed to greet the forthcoming big screen version, Entourage , out in Cinemas on 19th June with a fresh enthusiasm and open mind. I have no idea how they will transpose the story into something that holds up as a self-contained movie, but I’m hopeful they can rediscover that early chemistry.
Entourage is directed by TV Series creator, Doug Ellin and stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven (not to mention Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment as father and son). The movie will hit cinemas on 19th June 2015.
The complete box set, seasons 1-8, of Entourage is now available exclusively on demand with Sky Box Sets.
