Trust Rock n Roll label Pretty Green to show off schedule at LC:M
Not one to follow rules, the brand chose the Gibson guitar showroom in Fitzrovia to host a party filled to the brim with revellers, gin, and cool gear to celebrate the SS16 collection. The guitar-clad walls were the perfect setting, and the much anticipated Black and Green collections were displayed on mannequins in the lobby, before guests descended to the basement for the exclusive party.
The distinctive yet subtle floral design is still alive and kicking, but the spring summer range pays homage to the 1960s, when fashion collided with rock music.
With bands like Led Zeppelin and T-Rex hitting the headlines and number one spots, fashion began to reflect the new liberated attitudes! The Pretty Green Black Label takes inspiration from the style of late 60’s Carnaby Street and heritage rock and roll, with a tougher, edgier approach. Whereas the Green label provides perfect garms for a summer festival including a coated linen cagoule, mac, and camo leaf print parka- practical, but not for the wallflowers!
The festival feeling continued with the help of Warsteiner beer, Burleigh’s Gin and Pretty Green burgers from the Gourmet Burger Kitchen and I danced the night away to the super cool tunes spun by the legendary DJ Norman Jay.
A perfect space for a rock n roll brand, and the collection will no doubt be spied on the Cool Crew at the next Liam Gallagher – or Norman Jay gig! Sometimes I wish I was a boy!!! Only sometimes 😉
