Why choose a villa for your next trip to Majorca?

There are so many reasons to choos a villa over a hotel for your next trip to Majorca. Some of the reasons include:

You have more privacy and space to relax

The first benefit to booking a Majorca villa holiday is that you can benefit from your own space that you don’t need to share with other guests. When in a hotel you’re always surrounded by hoardes of other holiday-makers, unless you hole yourself up in your room. Villas provide multiple bedrooms, living areas and can include private gardens, pools and other spaces ideal for living comfortably without being cramped. You can also enjoy leaving your belongings around without worrying about them being swiped by a stranger and don’t need to battle for a sunbed or queue for the bathrooms!

You can holiday on your own time schedule

When you stay in a hotel, you’re very much restricted to the schedule the hotel sets. You can only dine in certain times, swim when the pool is open and access certain areas as and when they’re open. When you have a villa, you are pretty much free to do whatever you want, whenever you want. You can take a moonlit swim if you fancy, eat early in the morning or late at night and just have a lot more flexibility to holiday on your own time schedule.

You can get more of an authentic travel experience

Staying in a villa when in Majorca enables you to stay in quieter and more local part of the island. Hotels tend to be in the more tourist-y areas and the food also reflects this, often being British focused or mass-produced. When you stay in a villa you aren’t limited to an all-inclusive and instead can venture to local restaurants or supermarkets where you can pick up locally-grown product to cook in your villa. You’ll get more chances to speak with locals and stumble upon hidden gems you wouldn’t get to otherwise.

It’s great for a group or a family

When there are a lot of you travelling together such as a friendship group or a family, villas mean you can see eachother properly. You’ll all be in the same place and can enjoy shared living spaces while also having your own private rooms. You could have facilities such as a pool, a games room, a hot tub and large lounging areas where you can all relax together. These are just a few elements taht make villas great for a group or a family.

It can work out more cost effective

With a hotel you end up paying a flat rate for the room you’re in, however with a villa it can be a lot more cost-effective. You tend to pay a flat rate for the villa then divide it between the amount of people who are staying there. So you could have a four bed place and split the cost between eight people making it much more affordable. You can also get a nicer place for the same price of some of the hotels you could otherwise stay in.

These are just a few of the reasons you should book a Majorca villa holiday. When it comes to a break away for a couple, a family or a group of friends, you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to check out the facilities and location of your villa prior to booking to make sure it has all you need. You don’t want to book a remote villa if you’re looking to be near shops, restaurants and the beach, but you also don’t want to book one right in the thick of the action if you’re after some peace and quiet.
