Tips for looking your best

When you look and feel your best, you feel confident, healthy and comfortable in your own skin. Your mental health will be doing well (which is very important), and your general outlook on life will be positive – looking after your mental health is extremely important!

To look your best, you need to ensure you are making an effort and putting yourself first. You should be prioritising your skincare, dressing to impress (you could see a personal stylist for help), staying hydrated & eating well. You should also maintain your hair style and pay attention to your posture.

Prioritising your skincare

You’ll be amazed at how much the condition of your skin affects your confidence and how you feel overall. When you look after your skin, especially on your face, you’ll find you have a glow that others will notice, which in turn, will make you feel good about yourself. It’s recommended that you moisturise your face at least two times a day for the best results. 

Dressing to impress

When you go outside wearing something nice, it can help give you an extra level of confidence, which can be felt by those around you. Just think about it, if you go out to the shops with a tracksuit on, you don’t feel half as good as when you go out to the shops in a nice shirt and trousers. In order to improve your dress sense, we suggest preparing your outfits the day before; this way you don’t have to rush to get ready in the morning. 

Staying healthy & eating well 

What you eat and drink can have a big effect on your appearance. When you are drinking plenty of water and eating a balanced diet, the nutrients within can help your skin, hair and nails. Eating well can also have a big impact on your fitness and your mental health, which is another benefit of doing so. It is recommended you aim to eat at least five pieces of fruit and vegetables a day and drink around two to three litres of water each day. If you need to track what you eat and drink, there are many apps that you can use on your mobile phone, which makes keeping on top of things a lot easier. 

As you can imagine, there are so many ways to help you look your best. It’s impossible to do everything, so instead, find out what works best for you, which makes you feel your best.
