This is a new video from one of the breakthrough acts so far this year, St Lucia. It has a total mid-eighties Howard Jones / Nik Kershaw type feel to it, and so does much of the debut EP.
The band are the brainchild of South African-born / Brooklyn-based Jean-Philip Groble, and hopefully t(he)y will manage to put out a full length record by the end of the year.
In the meantime you’ll have to make do with this video (Co-Directed by Elliot Sellers and Carlos Lopez Estrada), OR if you are in London, get down to see them in the flesh at Popshop UK at Camp, 70-74 City Road, Old Street, London this Thursday (17th May), also appearing are Foxes, Savoir Adore and Yadi. There is also a great interview with St Lucia in the latest edition of Flush Magazine, you can read it here, or if you have an iPad there is a free Newsstand App available to download here..
