Preview: Manchester’s Parklife Festival

Parklife Festival

Now in its third year, Manchester’s Parklife Festival is back bigger and better than ever. It’s phenomenal success has seen the festival grow year-on-year since its inception and resulted in Platt Fields Park no longer being big enough to accommodate the event.

2013 will see a wider spread of music and entertainment including larger dance arenas, more spectacular production and many hidden nooks and crannies ensuring the biggest Parklife Weekender ever staged.

The festival is relocating to Manchester’s Heaton Park. Widely regarded as one of the premier outdoor venues in the north, and has hosted legendary concerts from the likes of The Stone Roses and Oasis.

Parklife Weekender Organiser, Sam Kandel says; “We are very lucky that no other large scale events have been planned for the site this year, so that Parklife Weekender is able to work with Manchester City Council for what is our biggest and best festival yet. The Parklife team are very proud to see this years festival at Heaton Park – it definitely feels like 2013 is going to be a key moment in Parklife Weekenders history.”

Day tickets are £45 or weekend ticket is £69.50. Bands not to be missed include Disclosure, Four Tet, The Maccabees, Sub Focus, example, Rudimental, TEED, The Horrors, Jessie Ware, TNGHT & Johnny Marr (above). The full line up and info is available at www.parklife.uk.com
