Bangers back with a bang! MOR Sausages
We took delivery of some super-fab sausages from MOR and over the last week or so we’ve been giving them the Flush the Fashion taste test. The sausages are filled with high quality British meat and vegetables, herbs and spices, they’re low in fat and they are also Gluten free.
If you can find a slice of sun in-between the showers, these are fab on the BBQ and smashing with(s)mash!
Moroccan Spiced Pork, Cauliflower & Chickpea Sausages
The Verdict: We did this flavour on the BBQ and what I really like about them (and actually all the MOR sausages) is that they AREN’T too meaty. Sometimes veggie sausages can be a bit wanting, but together the cauliflower and chickpea in these bangers balances perfectly with the Moroccan Spiced Pork to make a match made in heaven.
Mediterranean Chicken Sundried Tomato & Basil Chipolatas
The Verdict: Chicken sausages aren’t usually my first choice, maybe I can’t get my head around chicken sausages, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with these. Not my favourites, but they were very popular with the kids.

Pork, Super Green Veg & Lentil Sausages
The Verdict: The lentils and green veg in these sausages may sound a bit new-age, but trust me, they’re fantastic in a fresh hot dog bun and tomato sauce.
Pork, Beetroot & Bramley Apple Sausages
The Verdict: These are my FAV. The Beetroot and Bramley Apple are the natural taste foils to the pork and very little oil or fat comes out from them while cooking, so they’re not at all greasy.
I guess the main selling point for MOR is that these sausages are gluten-free, but as someone who doesn’t suffer any problems with gluten I really enjoyed the different flavour combinations (esp the Pork, Beetroot & Bramley Apple) and will be searching for them again in the future.
