The Other Woman 2014
In a memorable scene in The Other Woman, Leslie Mann’s character (Kate) hits the shots a little too hard after finding out that her husband has been cheating on her and ends up throwing up in her handbag!

Just take a look at the trailer below for a little snippet of this:

So, to celebrate the release of The Other Woman, let’s take a look at some of the best vomiting scenes in films to date…

Kevin and Perry Go Large (2001)

Could it get any worse for angsty teenager Kevin? He might just be on a dream holiday with his best mate in the clubbing capital that is Ibiza, but the snag lies in the fact that they are both accompanied by his comparatively old fashioned and civilised parents! Kevin and Perry manage to escape the boredom of a sit down dinner with the ‘old’ people and head for a night of euphoric Trance at Ibiza’s finest clubbing establishment, Amnesia. After a brief time period getting pushed and shoved around in the bustling crowd, Kevin’s night out comes to an end when a drunk clubber vomits a bucket load all over his head from a balcony above. A highly embarrassed Kevin has to leave the club he has dreamed of attending for months and clean the mounds of vomit off his head. Poor boy.

Bridesmaids (2011)
We all know how food poisoning can strike with vicious force – just take the memorable scene from the 2011 comedy, Bridesmaids as a prime example. All the girls are meeting for a dress fitting after an extravagant lunch. Unfortunately for five of the party, the so called ‘weird chicken’ comes back to haunt them in hilarious fashion! Sadly for them, there is only one toilet in this establishment and the sufferers must fight over the limited resources to relieve their discomfort. Vomit flies, Melissa McCarthy uses a sink for a toilet and Maya Rudolph does something unforgivable in the middle of the street. It’s outrageously funny!

The Exorcist (1973)
We’re moving away from comedy here, but the demonically possessed Linda Bair lets rip with a ghastly explosion of green vomit in the hit horror feature, The Exorcist. Many of us have had to hide our faces in the pillow after a heavy night out, but Linda takes the biscuit here. Not only does she look truly horrific, but she projects nearly 3 feet onto the face of a priest.

Team America: World Police (2004)
Anybody who says puppets can’t be dramatic should take a long hard look at the lengthy and memorable vomit scene from Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s hilarious satirical comedy, Team America. When Gary hits rock bottom and hits the local bar, things just get a little too much: he is kicked out onto the street where the longest vomit scene in movie history ensues. Each wretch is perfectly juxtaposed with a dramatic orchestral score that underlines Gary’s discomfort.
