Winter is finally well and truly here. Pink noses, blue tinged fingers and teeth-chattering are as common an occurrence as rain in Britain. Which means it’s also time to be digging out those hats, scarves and gloves sets which 2014 left behind. Now, if you are anything like me, the months between the end of last winter and the beginning of this one seems to swallow up my knitwear.
I can never seem to carry a pair of gloves from one season to the next- however I have no idea where they turn to. If I’m lucky I might have a mismatched pair, an unlikely partnership of 2013’s red and white striped mitten and 2014’s faux leather glove, but the other half is nowhere to be soon. Whilst this does bear a pain when the first frost hits and I realise how unprepared I am, it also gives me an excuse to purchase a beautiful new knitwear set each season. Here are some of my top hat, scarf and glove picks for the winter.
Ted Baker
Never one to disappoint, Ted Baker’s winter collection is once again indisputably stylish and sass. From their range of super warm and cosy hats to the below beautiful leather gloves there is something for everyone.
Wool Overs
Wool Overs focuses on the luxury feel of Cashmere, focusing on blends to keep the quality at its utmost, but the price lower than other pure cashmere picks. They have sets in Cotton & Cashmere, Cashmere & Merino, Silk & Cotton, Pure Lambswool and British Wool. All are highly durable, wonderfully warm and come in some great colours!
House of Fraser – Episode
This season House of Fraser has a range of beautiful knitwear- my favourites under the name of Episode. These styles are classy, chic and simple and won’t break the bank.
Topshop
From the classic to the more eccentric, Topshop has a myriad of enticing styles to keep you all wrapped up against the cold. Whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at you, these will keep you both looking and feeling ready to face the day. Oh, and talking of Mother Nature, have a look at these fab maternity baby shower dresses from www.cheekytummy.com.
It’s not all just about what you wear though. If, like me your hair is as thick as your jumper and you’re looking for the best in curling irons visit www.testingteam.net
