Are you looking for a sustainable and comfortable sneaker for the upcoming summer season? KEEN has got you covered with their fan-favourite Eldon sneaker, now available in a harvest makeover that is sure to be a hit.
I am actually quite particular about sneakers, for me less is more and I am always surprised by how horrible most pairs are. These on the other hand caught my eye even before I knew there was something special about them. Combining lightweight comfort with an easy-to-wear aesthetic they’re good for all kinds of casual occasions, being not too sporty and not too formal, however what really sets these shoes apart is their awesome eco-friendly features.
The uppers are made from upcycled leather car seat scraps (it doesn’t say what kind of car), while the plant-based midsole is created using agricultural waste, and it provides excellent cushioning and support for your feet too.

The Eldon is also lined with a soft terry cloth lining and treated with KEEN’s natural Eco Anti-Odor, ensuring that your feet stay fresh and comfortable all day long. The removable PU insole is crafted using upcycled coffee grounds, which certainly adds a, ‘cough’, perk (not my joke) to every step.

KEEN is committed to sustainability through their Detox the Planet Initiative. They take proactive action to identify and remove harmful chemicals in their supply chain and replace them with safe and effective alternatives. They use anti-microbial-free odor control, partner with environmentally preferred Leather Working Group certified tanneries, and increase the use of upcycled and recycled materials for a more circular product life cycle. SO, any brand that makes awesome stuff AND has a green conscience automatically gets bonus points!
The Harvest Sneaker collection (also including the Elsa Harvest Lea for women) is available at keenfootwear.com and selected lifestyle and sporting goods retailers from early Spring 2023.
