Sponsored Video: Acer – Iconia A1-830

After the recent domination of Samsung and Apple in the tablet market, it’s great to see someone else, i.e. Acer throwing their techno hat into the ring with an all new tablet, the Iconia A1-830.

The stunning new device combines great looks and durability with a quad core Intel® Atom™ processor and 7.9-inch LED- backlit display, plus new features such as ‘Build Your Own Cloud’ an online storage function to keep your content safe and dual stereo speakers.

The device has been built to cope with the rigours and knocks of life on the road, with s strong metal back cover, but thanks to clever engineering the A1-830 is still lightweight enough to easily use in one hand.

Another of its features is the all new IPS technology, enabling the HD (1024 by 768 resolution) screen to be viewed from up to 178 degrees, ideal if you are watching a movie with a friend on a long journey.

The tablet runs on Android 4.2 and is able to cope with multiple Apps running simultaneously without lag. Great for gaming too, it will cope in even the most demanding of scenarios.

All this sounds even better when you consider the current price is less than £140, that is significantly less than its nearest competitor, the Samsung Galaxy 3 10.1 and over £100 cheaper than a 16BG iPad Mini.

For a so-called budget tablet, the A1-830 has a distinctly un-budget feel about it and after a false start with the original A1, it’s a nice wake up call to the big boys.
