Making Your Car Interior Super Sleek

Let’s not kid ourselves, we spend a lot of time in our car, and because of that – if we aren’t taking care of it, it can become pretty messy in no time at all. It doesn’t matter if you are a daily driver or you just want to give the inside a bit of a facelift.

All that matters is if you have a little bit of spare cash and an idea of what you want to achieve. Some interior upgrades can be pretty expensive, while others are pocket-friendly and just take a little bit of time. Here are a couple of interior upgrades that can make your car look incredible and feel even cooler to drive.

Floor mats or carpet

The floor Mat and the carpet in the car can get pretty grimy. After all, you put your feet on them countless times a day – and the more people in the car, the more dirt you have been trampled in.

The wear and tear of cheap floor mats can be pretty extreme. Even if you clean yours pretty often, they will need to be replaced every once in a while.

Choose floor mats that match the theme that you like so that the interior is cohesive.

If you don’t want to get the floor mats replaced and prefer to get the whole carpet done – it’s expensive but worth it. Some companies specialize in creating the exact carpet – made to size.

New seats

There is nothing worse than sitting in a seat in a car that feels like you are on a bumper car or a budget airline. You want to be as comfortable as possible, without turning it into a sofa. The right-shaped car seat will be comfortable on long drives and make sitting behind the wheel a dream, not a chore. Cobra Seats offer some of the most comfortable car seats on the market.

The alternative to replacing your car seat is reupholstering the seats – which costs a fair bit, and ultimately they’re still the same car seats – just with a new suit on.

The next option is to clean the ones you have, a deep clean. Using a steam cleaning device, you can get deep into the material. Combine the steam clean with a stain remover, and you will have a pretty sweet interior.

It is probably better to hire a car detailing company for things like this; it’s not uncommon for people to end up with patchy seats while working out the proper stain remover to water ratio.

Steering wheel

You grip this wheel for hours on end, and if you don’t love how it feels, that is a long time to have something in your hand that you don’t like. There is no reason that you have to drive with the stock option. There are hundreds of options when it comes to replacing your steering wheel.

You have two main options when it comes to covering your steering wheel. You can buy one of the covers that you just pull over. They are usually easy enough to install and don’t cost very much.

The next option is handing your car over to a steering wheel customization specialist. A specialist will create you a steering wheel that you’ll be happy to hold on to.

It is worth bearing in mind that when it comes to the steering wheel, you need to know that the cover isn’t going to slip or pull so that you lose grip of the wheel.

Coffee, anyone?

Is it excessive? Yes. Do you need it? No… but, also yes. A coffee machine that plugs into your car’s charging port and can make fresh espresso as you drive sounds rather luxurious, but it is one way that you can turn your can into something glorious.

There are a couple of brands that are worth considering. Handpresso is one of the most popular as it comes in standard coffee and espresso size, and there is a range of coffee formats that it accepts. An alternative to the Handpresso 12v is the RoadPro 12v Smart Car pot. It has a space-saving design, too – unlike some of the others.

Smell

If your car smells like the inside of old trainers or months-old fast-food wrappings – then you have a problem. The first thing you need to do is get rid of all of the rubbish in your car, and the second is invest in a car air freshener. They aren’t usually expensive and can make your car smell fantastic.

Once you have the inside of your car sorted – maybe it’s time to hit the open road and see what life has to offer you: How to Prepare for a Road Trip.
