GamerPrint is probably a great place to work, they spend all day playing computer games and coming up with designs for new T-shirts.
What I like about their stuff is you have to be a gaming fan to ‘get’ their designs. It’s an exclusive club but everyone is welcome to join! Flush the Fashion spoke to their head hero Dean Walton to find out more.
Your designs are excellent, who comes up with the ideas?
Thanks very much! Ideas are generally a group effort – we all pitch and develop the best ones. Being a designer by trade I then translate the ideas into the final designs while the other guys help with the order processing, packing and delivery.
If someone has a good idea for a t-shirt, can they send you a design?
Definitely – we always welcome ideas from our community. In fact the idea of a Nuka Cola t-shirt was suggested by our Facebook fans and we regularly ask which games people would love to see us design for.
What video games are you playing at the moment?
Between us we are pretty hooked on Black Ops and Fallout: New Vegas at the moment although I downloaded GRID the other day after playing the demo ages ago – it’s pretty good fun! Saying that the new GoldenEye has just come into our lives and is proving quite the distraction too!
Are you in the Xbox or PS3 camp (or both)?
That’s a tricky one – we have both consoles as well as a Wii so it’s all pretty equal. The Xbox and PS3 definitely get the bigger share of time though. Personally I have an Xbox 360 but I’m seriously considering buying a PS3 for GT5 and LittleBigPlanet 2 – they are must-haves.
What are your plans for the future of GamerPrint?
We aim to produce loads of designs releasing on a more regular basis. One of the things we like to do is tie our designs in with the launch of a game so expect some pretty big games getting the GamerPrint treatment soon! We are also looking to get involved further with our community with more competitions and giveaways.
