What can I say, it’s 3am and ‘Clouds’, a track from The Hush Now’s third album is still stuck in my head. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts I definitely was expecting that same old American safe bland indie-rock, however Adam, Noel, Barry, Pat and Jon have created their own identity in a highly competitive field drawing clear influences from the British ‘indie’ sound. By twisting and infusing it with American roots they’ve come up with something rather delightful.
So has it really been that long already? Thirteen years since we first heard ‘Bohemian Like You’, and it still resounds in my ears, and you know what it will properly be there in anther thirteen years to come. I’m not normally a fan of remastered, repackaged, re-give-us-all-your-money re-releases, however The Dandy Warhols could be one of the few exceptions.
After highly acclaimed debut solo record ‘The Hardship Diaries’ one of the hardest working men in music, InMe frontman Dave McPherson has given it another go. But second records are notoriously difficult though, could new offering Dreamoirs repeat the success?
