The movie version of the Broadway Musical, Rock of Ages (currently starring Justin Lee Collins and Shayne Ward in London’s West End) will be upon us in 2012.
It’s based in 1987 around The Bourbon Room, a fictitious Hollywood club, during a time of big excess, big ego’s and even bigger hair.
Directed by Adam Shankman, the movie version stars Alec Baldwin (right), Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand (left), Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tom Cruise as rock star Stacee Jaxx.
Featuring the music of Metal Gods such as Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Poison and Asia it could be in the running for one the best or worst films ever made (not sure which yet), either way it’s definitely one to look out for.
