Blek Le Rat: Opera Gallery London
Xavier Prou AKA Blek Le Rat opens a new exhibition of work at the Opera Gallery in London on Friday this week (27th April 2012). A pioneer of Graffiti stenciling, Blek has been cited by many as ‘The Godfather of Graffiti’.
Banksy himself famously said that “every time I think I’ve painted something slightly original, I find out that Blek Le Rat has done it as well, only twenty years earlier.”
Blek has been an important figure in the world of Graffiti Art and despite exhibiting all over the world, this will be the French artist’s first London Exhibition since 2008.
Best of all, if you are one of the first hundred people to arrive at the exhibition on the Friday, you will get a FREE signed, print by the man himself.
The address is
Opera Gallery London
134 New Bond Street
London W1S 2TF
www.operagallery.com
It starts at 9:00am, 10:00am does anyone know where I can get a tent from?
