Detroit Motor show – Bentley Continental V8

It’s the Detroit Motor Show and one of the highlights so far for me has been the premier of Bentley’s new Continental V8 range. The beautiful models launched are the Continental GT V8 Coupe and the GTC V8 Convertible.

The cars will do 0-60mph in under five seconds, and should conditions allow reach speeds of 180+mph. Drive it sensibly and one tank of fuel could last you up to 800 miles.

The 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged engine produces 500bhp at 6,000rpm, but perhaps surprisingly the cars also deliver a 40% improvement in fuel efficiency, and fuel C02 emissions have been greatly reduced.

Prices start at £123,850 and £136,250 for the convertible.
That might seem expensive, but if you can see from the picture, you could always sell your office and work from the backseat.

Car Review: Jaguar XF 2.2L Diesel

5th December 2011

Switch on the ignition, and the air conditioning vents rotate in a way that is pure Hollywood. The rising silver rotating gearshift dial, the JaguarDrive Selector and touch sensitive overhead lights all add to the magic.
